Donald Trump, who won the US presidential election, announced on Friday that he would nominate billionaire Doug Burgum to chair the new US National Energy Council, as well as for the position of US Secretary of the Interior.
“I am pleased to announce that Doug Burgum, Governor of North Dakota, will be joining my administration as Secretary of the Interior and Chairman of the newly formed and very important National Energy Board.” – Trump said.
It should be noted that the new national energy council will oversee the work of government agencies to increase the production of all energy sources, especially traditional ones.
