Trump bribery trial

A New York court has decided to delay Donald Trump’s sentencing in a secret trial until November 26, avoiding a verdict before the presidential election.

This was reported by the Haaretz news portal.

The delay is seen as a significant advantage for Trump, as it will allow him to avoid potentially complicated litigation that could affect his campaign at a critical moment. Judge Juan Merchán explained that the postponement of the ruling was intended to eliminate the possibility of accusations that the court’s decision could favor one of the political parties.

As you know, in May of this year, a jury found Donald Trump guilty of 34 counts of falsifying corporate documents that were used to cover up a sex scandal that could damage his 2016 presidential campaign.

Trump became the first former US president to be convicted of serious crimes. Judge Merchán can impose a sentence that includes probation or actual prison time of one to four years for each of the charges.

Earlier, Cursor wrote that US federal judge Eileen Cannon, who is leading the case against former President Donald Trump over secret documents, decided to suspend criminal prosecution. This decision was made in Florida due to doubts about the legality of the appointment of special prosecutor Jack Smith, who brought the case.

Cursor has also reported that after being charged with a criminal case, Donald Trump’s team managed to raise $52.8 million from his supporters in one day to finance his election campaign.
