Donald Trumponce again attacked the Democratic candidate and current vice-president of the United States, Kamala Harrisduring a campaign event this Saturday evening in Wisconsin. The Republican candidate assures that his rival in the race for the White House is a “mentally handicapped“, which, he assures, he shares with the current president, Joe Biden.
“Kamala is mentally disabled. “If a Republican did what he did, he would be impeached and removed from office, and rightly so, for high crimes and misdemeanors,” Trump said. Kamala Harris is ‘a very stupid person’.
“Joe Biden has become mentally disabled. Kamala was born like this. She was born like that. And if you think about it, only a mentally disabled person could have allowed this to happen to our country,” the former president added.
These statements were harshly criticized by disability advocacy groupswho were quick to respond to Trump.
“These words say a lot more about him and their inaccurate and prejudiced hatred against disabled people than Vice President Harris or any person with a disability,” criticized Maria Town, executive director and president of the American Association of Persons with Disabilities.
“Trump has the false, discriminatory belief that if a person has a disability, they are less human and less worthy. These perceptions are incorrect and harm people with disabilities,” Town added.
