The president’s comments appeared in the midst of public disputes between him and Musk, which recently became one of Trump’s most faithful supporters.
Last month, Musk resigned from the post of head of DOGE after he greatly criticized Trump’s “large and beautiful” design, which included an increase in the ceiling of a debt of 5 trillion US dollars.
Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, Trump asked if he would consider the deportation of Elon Mask, a naturalized US citizen, to his native country of South Africa, to which the president answered: “I don’t know, we must consider this.”
“We may have to use DOGE for Elon,” the president added, noting, “Dogi is a monster who may have to return and eat Elon.”
Trump also shows that Musk received “many subsidies”.
