South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol spoke by phone with Donald Trump, who won the US presidential election, Yonhap reports, citing the South Korean president’s office.
Trump expressed his intention to continue cooperation with Seoul. The politicians also announced their willingness to hold a meeting in the near future.
The parties expressed concern over North Korea’s missile tests and military operations in Ukraine.
Trump also mentioned that the United States is seeking cooperation with South Korea in the shipbuilding industry, particularly in construction, repair and maintenance of military ships.
In total, the conversation between the politicians lasted 12 minutes.
