The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, expressed doubts that the president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, fully agrees with the position of those he intends to appoint to his administration after assuming the position of head of the White House on January 20.
“When nominating this or that candidate, Trump is probably very aware of the nature of the statements and the person’s position on certain international issues. Does this mean that Trump fully agrees with this position? Don’t think,” – said the representative of the Kremlin in an interview with VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin.
Peskov also called Trump’s process to form his new team “noisy.”
“Notable names from the United States appear there, including some we know well,” – he added.
Peskov emphasized that all information reaching new officials comes from “the same state machine, which, as a rule, is not particularly susceptible to the influence of election results,” TASS reports.
