The President-elect of the United States, Donald Trumpwill name as his new “border tsar” has Tom Homan to apply its strict border control policy and which will have among its objectives to launch the mass expulsion of immigrants.
Homan, who was already part of Trump’s team during his first term as president Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)was in all the groups to be part of the new Republican team. “I am pleased to announce that Tom Homan, a strong supporter of border control, will join the Trump administration. take charge of our nation’s borders”he announced Sunday evening in a message on his social network Truth.
In his announcement, Trump calls Homan “the border czar” and says his policies will include defending the “the southern border, the northern border, all maritime and air security.”
“I’ve known Tom for a long time and There is no one better to monitor and control our borders. In a statement to CBS last October, Homan said no undocumented raids under the Democratic administration of Joe Biden and announced that they would resume under the new administration.
Homan was named acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement in 2017 and decades of experience in enforcing immigration laws. He was a police officer, a United States Border Patrol agent, and a special agent with the former Immigration and Naturalization Service.
