US President Donald Trump said he had concluded an agreement with NATO on the purchase of weapons, which will be delivered to Ukraine when he met with General Mark Rottte in Washington.
“Today we concluded a deal in which we will send weapons (Ukraine), and NATO will pay for them,” Trump announced a press conference in the White House.
According to Trump, the United States is ready to fulfill 100% of the duties to Russia in response to the lack of interest of President Vladimir Putin in order to put an end to its war in Ukraine, which can end in 50 days.
“We are very unhappy with Russia, and we will apply very strict responsibilities … about 100%” Trump said.
“We spent $ 250 billion in this war … and we want it to end. I was disappointed with Putin, because I thought that we would have a deal two months ago “, Added.
Trump publicly expressed his irritation about the unwillingness of Russian President Vladimir Putin to achieve a peaceful transaction in Ukraine, accusing the Russian leader of the Supreme Lecture in Washington.
“I am very disappointed by President Putin”, Trump said.
“I thought he was the one who had in mind what he said. He says so beautifully, and then bombed people at night. We don’t like it. ”
As part of a change in position last week, Trump said that Washington would send exquisite weapons, including the Patriot air defense system, to Ukraine through NATO.
The missile system of patriots can detect and intercept a wide range of upcoming air goals, especially ballistic missiles with high technologies, and is considered one of the best in the world, while Moscow increases its night attacks and unprotected aircraft in the fourth year.
Speaking at the Ukrainian conference on restoration in Rome on Thursday, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Germany would pay for two systems, while Norway agreed to provide one.
According to Zelensky, other European partners also said that they are ready to help.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Friday that some of the American weapons required by Ukraine are already in the hands of NATO allies in Europe.
This weapon can be quickly delivered to Ukraine when European countries provide news from the United States.
“For example, it is much faster to transfer something from Germany to Ukraine than to order a factory (USA) and send it there,” Rubio told reporters during a visit to the Asean summit in Kuala Lumpur.
After repeated Russian attacks with unmanned aircraft and missiles in Kyiv, the authorities announced on Friday that they create an integrated system for intercepting unmanned aircraft under the program called Clear Sky.
The project includes an investment of 260 million puddles (about 5.3 million euros) on unmanned planes, operating operators and new mobile units, according to Timor Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv military administration.
Ruth will be in Washington on Monday and Tuesday for negotiations with Trump, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, US Secretary of Defense Pete Highshez and Congress members.
“I will have a meeting with the secretary -general who will appear tomorrow”, Trump told reporters in Washington on Sunday evening.
“But basically we will send them various fragments of very sophisticated (weapons) and pay us 100% for them.”
Trump and Rottte met for the last time at the NATO summit in Brussels at the end of June.
