During a campaign rally in Wisconsin attended by supporters of Donald Trump, a microphone malfunction caused unexpected and controversial gestures from the former president. A video of Trump making a series of mouth-like movements in an attempt to show frustration over microphone issues has gone viral on social media, sparking controversy and criticism.
Trump’s rally took place just a few miles from a speech by Vice President Kamala Harris, whose team quickly responded to the viral video by posting it with a laconic question mark: “?” The video went viral on the social network “This is a strange and disturbing sequence of events, and many voters may find it disqualifying.”
Trump himself, commenting on the situation on stage, called the faulty microphone “pretty stupid” and added that it led to his disappointment. “I was so angry. I’m furious here. “I’m working my ass off with this stupid microphone,” he said. After several failed attempts, accompanied by shouts from the crowd to “fix the microphone,” Trump, showing the “fix,” began bobbing his head up and down, which many perceived as an imitation of oral sex.
Commentators and users of the social network X did not ignore the incident. One user commented sarcastically: “Something very serious is happening to this man. He will do or say anything to gain the applause of his fawning cult.” Others added: “Tomorrow the headlines will be: ‘Trump Has Technical Difficulties But Delivers Moving Speech.'”
