US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has suggested that Ukraine’s military actions in the Kursk region could be a harbinger of World War III.
Trump made the remarks during his speech to the National Guard Association of the United States in Detroit.
Trump claims that he is the only candidate capable of stopping the war between Russia and Ukraine and preventing the outbreak of World War III. In his speech, he drew attention to what he called a “major breakthrough in Russia” – namely, the actions of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region.
“Look what’s happening in Ukraine. They’re going into Russia. They’re going to have World War III,” Trump said.
He reiterated his promise to end the war in Ukraine if he becomes president.
“Before I even take my seat in the Oval Office after my election victory, I will end this terrible war between Russia and Ukraine, and I will do so as soon as possible,” Trump said.
