US President Donald Trump excluded the opportunity to send American troops to help protect Ukraine from Russia after he left an open day earlier.

In a television interview, Trump also said that Ukraine’s hopes will join NATO, and restore the Crimean peninsula from Russia, both “weak”.

Trump, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and other European leaders have long been negotiated in Washington on Monday in order to stop Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Answering the questions of reporters to the White House, Trump did not exclude the possibility of sending American troops to participate in efforts under the leadership of the European leadership for the protection of Ukraine as part of security guarantees implemented by Zelensky.

Trump said after his meeting in Alaska last week with Russian President Vladimir Putin that Putin was open to the idea of security guarantees for Ukraine.

But on Tuesday asked Fox News about what guarantees can provide for the limits of his term, that American troops will not participate in the protection of the borders of Ukraine, Trump said: “Well, you have my confidence, and I am the president.”

Trump, however, will not control the US army after its term of office in January 2029.

Later, on Tuesday, the White House representative Karolin Levit also emphasized that “US boots will not be on earth” as part of any possible peacekeeping mission.

Levit also told the press that Putin promised Trump that he would have a personal meeting with Zelensky, but this was not yet confirmed by the Kremlin.

During negotiations with Zelensky and European leaders on Monday, Trump said that he was striving for triple negotiations between Zelensky, Putin and himself.

But after a conversation with Putin later on the same day, Trump said that at first he organizes TET-A-TETE between Zelensky and Putin, and that, if necessary, triple negotiations will be.

“It was an idea that developed during the negotiations of the president with President Putin, President Zelensky and European leaders yesterday,” Lybith explained.

Trump said that he believes that Putin’s course will become clear in the coming weeks.

“I think Putin is tired,” Trump said. “I think everyone is tired of this. But you never know. We will learn about President Putin in the next two weeks. I can tell you that. “

Trump said in the same interview that he was optimistic, that an agreement could be reached to put an end to the Russian invasion, but emphasized that Ukraine should postpone its hope to return the Crimea, which was occupied by Russian troops in 2014.

“Both of these things are impossible,” Trump said.

Putin, in the context of any possible agreement on the abolition of his forces from Ukraine, seeks to withdraw Ukrainian troops from Donetsk and Luhaank, as well as the recognition of Crimea as Russian territory.
