US President-elect Donald Trump will soon name a special envoy to Ukraine. This was reported by Fox News, citing sources.
According to sources, the envoy will deal with the issue of a peaceful solution to the Ukrainian crisis.
He would be a “very high-ranking envoy” and a “very trustworthy” figure, one of the sources said. His task will be “to find a solution that leads to a peaceful agreement,” he said.

It should be noted that the special envoy’s position will be unpaid, like that of the State Department’s special representative for Ukraine, Kurt Volker, who held the position between 2017 and 2019, during Trump’s first term.
According to Fox News, some Trump advisers proposed negotiating with the following conditions: freezing the front line with an 800-mile (about 1.3 thousand kilometers) demilitarized zone; preservation of the territories that have come under its control for the Russian Federation; Ukraine’s refusal to join NATO for 20 years.
