Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, said that during his presidency he warned Russian leader Vladimir Putin of possible serious consequences if he decided to attack Ukraine.
According to information published in The Wall Street Journal, Trump said that in a conversation with Putin he threatened to attack Moscow in the event of aggression against Ukraine. He stressed that he would not like to resort to such measures, but that under certain conditions he would have no other option.
“Vladimir, if you go after Ukraine, I will hit you so hard you won’t even believe it. “I will strike right in the middle of fucking Moscow,” Trump said.
The former president also noted that he maintained friendly relations with Putin, but this did not change his firm stance regarding the possible threat from Russia.
