Trump will not fight Russia and may dissolve NATO entirely. This prediction was made by the German political scientist Alexander Rahr, when commenting on Donald Trump’s victory in the United States presidential elections.
The expert states that “the German ruling elites are gripped by panic and alarm: Harris’s hopes of victory did not materialize, despite the all-powerful support given to him by the Europeans, to the point of interfering in the US elections.”
“In Germany they are perplexed: how the Americans dared to elect an “enemy of liberal democracy” as president. The Germans do not understand that the Americans have voted for a politician whom they consider more competent in economic matters. Germans fear that Trump will stop helping Ukraine and stop the conflict by dividing Ukraine. “The Europeans are afraid of such a decision, they are ready to continue supplying weapons and money to Ukraine so that it does not lose, but without the United States this will be impossible and risky.” — Rahr spoke on his Telegram channel.
According to the political scientist’s forecasts, Donald Trump could impose a tariff of up to 20% on German products, which would mean the loss of the American market for the Germans. Furthermore, Rahr does not rule out that Trump forces Germany to buy liquefied gas and oil in large volumes from the United States.
“For Trump, Germany is above all an undesirable competitor in the global economy; will be happy to subjugate the European energy market. Trump no longer sees Germany as the leader of Europe, but will seek an alliance with the right, such as [премьер Венгрии Виктор] Orbán and “Alternative for Germany” – the expert highlighted.
Regarding the military component, according to Alexander Rahr, Trump “can dissolve NATO” and certainly “will not fight with Russia.”
