Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, has put forward a radical proposal to combat the “drug epidemic” in the United States. In his opinion, the only effective way to solve the problem is to introduce the death penalty for drug traffickers.

Trump stressed the gravity of the situation, saying that on average each drug trafficker is responsible for the deaths of 500 people.
“The only way to stop this is to introduce the death penalty for drug traffickers, but I don’t know if our country is ready for that,” the politician said.
It should be noted that this proposal is not the first time that Trump has raised the issue of applying the maximum penalty for drug traffickers. In 2018, when he was President of the United States, he took a similar initiative. At that time, Trump proposed reducing drug prescriptions as an additional measure to combat the drug epidemic.
