Presidential elections are being held in Tunisia.
Oku.Az Referring to TASS, it is reported that the current president, Qays Said, 66, as well as Zuhair Magzavi of the social democratic party “Harakat al-Shaab” are fighting for the position of head of state.
Ayashi Zammel, another candidate of the leftist party “Azimun”, formally participates in the elections. He was arrested on charges of forgery during the collection of signatures.
Preliminary voting results will be announced on the afternoon of October 7.
