Canadian journalist Neil Hauer has been banned from entering Turkey.
Oku.Az “Calibre” reports that he went from Yerevan to Istanbul’s “Sabiha Gökçen” airport for tourist purposes, but they withheld his passport and told him that he was on the “black list.” After waiting 16 hours, the journalist was deported back to Armenia.
Hauer expressed surprise because, according to him, he visited Türkiye several times before, the last time in the summer of 2022, and there was no such problem.
It should be noted that Neil Hauer is known for his one-sided publications on the Second Karabakh War. Their materials are usually dedicated to accusations against Azerbaijan, ignoring the occupation policy of the Armenian side.
