Türkiye’s investments in renewable energy are of international interest

“Türkiye’s investments in renewable energy are of international interest.”

Oku.Az “Haber Global” reports that this was stated by the Director General of the Development and Investment Bank of Turkey, Ibrahim Öztop, while answering questions at the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change ( COP29).

“We are a country that, above all, international development banks set an example for developing countries. There is a very serious interest in us,” said Oztop.

He said that COP29 is an important event that brings together many authorities and experts, especially in the field of environmental economics.

Öztop also noted that as Turkey’s Development Investment Bank, they are trying to find a source of investment in institutions such as the World Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.

He said he saw Türkiye’s interest in meetings held with foreign officials.

Oztop highlighted that some time ago they participated in the meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.

The bank’s CEO expressed that foreign authorities are very interested in the green transformation process in Türkiye.

Öztop stressed that macroeconomic development in Türkiye is also important and that Türkiye has established itself in the field of green energy.
