Two Balearic ships in the Spanish Cruise Championship

The Monte Real Yacht Club in Bayona will host the National Lottery and Bets Trophy this weekend, the winner of which will be proclaimed Spanish Cruise Champion 2024. The Balearic Islands participate with two representativesthe Lampo Rosso of Joan Jofrerepresenting the Sant Pere Nautical Club, in Menorca, and the Kresal, of Andreu Cirerolunder the flag of the Can Picafort Nautical Club.

Organized by the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation with the collaboration of the Monte Real Club De Yates and the Royal Galician Sailing Federation, The regattas will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, in fleet tests with direct judgment at sea on windward-leeward courses. Matchups with format round robin Friday and Saturday will establish a ranking of which the first six will compete on Sunday during the grand final which will designate the winner of the National Lottery Trophy and Paris, Spanish Cruise Champion.

Thursday 3 is reserved for formalization of registration and the training of the different crews on board the boats provided by the Monte Real Yacht Club for the Trophy contest. Each crew will be made up of six athletes which will navigate, without changes, in all scheduled tests.

After organizing a series of qualifying regattas in each territory, finally There will be 18 teams present this year in Bayonne representing twelve communities: Andalusia, Principality of Asturias, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Cantabria, Castile-La Mancha, Catalonia, Comunitat Valenciana, Galicia, Autonomous City of Melilla, Region of Murcia and Basque Country.

With a maximum of two teams as established in the regulations of the qualification system, the list of entrants is as follows:
