Two brothers face sentences of five and three years in prison accused of sexually assaulting a minor in Gandia

Two brothers face requests for prison sentences of five and three and a half years for the alleged crimes of sexual assault and battery. The Valencia public prosecutor’s office accuses them of having sexually assaulted a 17-year-old minor, whom they met on December 9, 2022 in a pub in the city of Gandia.

According to information provided by the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community, the events began inside the establishment where, according to the account of the Ministry of Finance“One of the defendants approached the minor on several occasions in a lascivious manner, attempted to kiss her and touch her private parts, despite the victim’s persistent refusal.” According to the same official sources, “shortly after, outside the premises, an argument broke out between the two brothers and the young woman over a packet of tobacco. “During the fight, one of them grabbed her from behind, pinned her down and continued to touch her while the other punched her in the face and pulled her hair.”

According to him charge“Finally, they pushed her against the asphalt and punched her until she fell to the ground and the minor suffered an injury to her chin which required surgical treatment.”

The trial for these events is scheduled for Monday, September 30 in the second section of the Provincial Court of Valencia.
