The National Police arrested two men for allegedly sexually assaulting two underage women last week during the Moors and Christians festivities in the municipality of Ontinyent, according to Levante-EMV and sources from the investigation confirmed to Europa Press.
The first of the events occurred on the public highway in the early hours of Saturday, August 24, around 1:45 a.m. A minor, accompanied by her relatives, reported in a purple spot that a man had touched her buttocks.
The National Police officers carried out the corresponding investigations and managed to locate and arrest the suspect, a 24-year-old man who has already been brought to justice.
The second incident also occurred on the 24th, but around 7 a.m. The officers were tasked by Room 091 to go to the city’s Mestre Ferrero Park, where, it seems, a minor was sexually assaulted.
The police carried out various procedures and questioned several witnesses. Thanks to all this, they were able to arrest the alleged perpetrator, an 18-year-old young man. The victim was taken to a medical center where he was able to receive assistance, while the detainee was also brought to justice.
