The National Police arrested two men, both with criminal records, for theft during the theft of the 40 HP Yamaha outboard motor of a canoe arriving at the dock of Arguineguín (Gran Canaria) valued on the market at more than 8,000 euros.

The Canary Islands Higher Police Headquarters opened the investigation in mid-October after the company granted surveillance and subsequent destruction of cayucos and canoes moored at the dock, warning that the engines disappeared installed in them.

On October 20, on the occasion of the arrival on the island of Gran Canaria of a canoe from the coast of Senegal, the agents set up a police force, which ended with the arrest of two men and the recovery of the engine stolen from the above-mentioned boat.

The detainees were brought before the competent judicial authority.
