Next week, a popular court will judge two officials from the town hall of Alfaz del Pi (Alicante) accused of having requested a corruption of 2,000 euros to a merchant in exchange for obtaining a license have a position in the flea market.

He jury must determine his innocence or guilt if they consider that it is proven that, during the month of May 2015, both approached the injured person, who had twice requested this authorization to be able to sell on the road public in one of the authorized stalls, and offered him the possibility of having it if he gave them this sum of money, as reported by sources from the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TJSCV).

Among the functions of the two municipal technicians was to report on files for granting, modifying or revoking employment permits, and they pressed to this candidate with obvious extortion so that he pays them immediately or, otherwise, they would not allow him to have access to street vending in the existing vacancies.

The trial begins this Monday at the Alicante Provincial Court and will continue with hearings scheduled for the following two days.
