Two paragliders were injured in two accidents that occurred this Saturday in the provinces of Granada and Cádiz and in one of them the electricity company had to intervene.
The first of the notices was received 112 minutes before 3 p.m., while was alerted to the fall of a paraglider from around five meters in the Poniente landing zone, between kilometers 14 and 15 of the CA-9101, in Algodonales, as reported in the 112 communiqué.
From the room, the Health Emergency Center 061, the Civil Guard, the Provincial Consortium of Firefighters of Cádiz and the local police were immediately activated. The health services transferred the injured man, about whom no further information was released, to the Ronda hospital.
Almost simultaneously, another call was received on the single emergency telephone. which warned of a paraglider injured during his landing in Loja. According to the whistleblower, had collided with an almond tree and fell about ten meters. The health services of the Junta, the Civil Guard and the local police were mobilized. The injured man, aged 51, was evacuated to the High Resolution Hospital in Loja.
In both cases, 112 reported the event to the Coordination and Rescue Center and the Air Traffic Control Center. Furthermore, around 4:20 p.m., andl 112 handled another advisory for a paraglider that had been suspended on a high voltage line in Villanueva del Rosario, in the province of Malaga, although in this case no health care was required.
The injured man was able to free himself from the paraglider and was in good condition.. The Provincial Consortium of Firefighters, the Civil Guard, the local police and the electricity company were mobilized to remove the paraglider.
