Two kilograms of heroin were found among those detained in Baku’s Sabail district.
Oku.Az reports that this was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of the Interior (MIA).
It was reported that Elvin Ismayilov and his acquaintance S. Gozalova, who had previously been convicted of illegal drug dealing and trafficking, were detained by the Sabail district police department.
“More than two kilograms of heroin, a narcotic drug, were found in them. In their statements, the detainees said they planned to take the narcotics from Iranian citizens, whose identity was being investigated, and sell them at predetermined locations and deliver them to separate addresses in exchange for financial gain. A criminal case has been initiated in connection with the incident and investigations are ongoing,” the report said.
