Two people, one 69 year old man and 67 year old womandied this Friday after crashed a small plane in a mountainous area of the Leonese municipality of Cimanes de Tejar. The two victims are a couple from Ponferrada, reports Ep.
Sources consulted by Europa Press confirmed that the couple were traveling in a leisure plane which they had rented from the Real Aeroclub de León, based in La Virgen del Camino.
For the moment, the causes of the accident are unknown. It only turned out that the Air Force’s air search and rescue (SAR) service had lost contact with the small plane. about fifteen kilometers from León at 2:38 p.m. this Friday.
