In the Vyazemsky district of the Smolensk region, two people died as a result of a collision between a bus and a truck. This was reported today, October 31, by the press service of the regional Ministry of the Interior.
The accident occurred at km 202 of the M-1 highway. According to the police, the bus driver chose a dangerous distance from the truck in front, which caused the collision.
“As a result of the accident, the driver and passenger of the bus died at the scene, an investigation is underway.” – the message said.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Health, a total of 20 people were on the bus at the time of the accident. There were no victims in the accident.
The press service of the General Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the region added that tankers from the 12th fire and rescue unit and five personnel came to the scene of the call.
