The Secretary General of the Federation of Industry, Construction and Agro (FICA) of UGT in Cordoba, Pedro Tellezsaid Tuesday that the new provincial agreement for agriculture in Cordoba, signed by his union and the agricultural employers’ associations Asaja And COAGand which will affect more than 65,000 workers in the province, is “the best agricultural agreement signed in Andalusia, both in terms of economic and social rights.”

The general secretary of the UGT FICA Córdoba clarified that “the new agreement will entail a wage increase of at least 10.5% in all its economic concepts, starting with an increase, from the beginning of the year, both in wagesas in the supplements, of 6.5%, and with the guarantee of an increase, both for 2025 and for 2026, of 2%, in the event of an increase in the SMI lower than this figure, but guaranteeing, in the event that the SMI exceeds 2%, this will be assimilated to this increase.
On the other hand, Téllez stressed that with the signing of this agreement, some aspects have been updated and regularized. normative and socialand highlighted “the improvement of the complement by inability and the improvement of the conditions of permanent discontinuous workers”, a group which, “compared to that of all agricultural workers, has increased by 45%”.
Another new feature of the agreement is the “inclusion of a life insurance for all rural workers, which will undoubtedly improve the social conditions of this group.
