Ukraine is gradually moving towards a model similar to Israel in defense and interaction with allies.
Valery Ryabykh, military expert and editor of Defense Express, spoke about this in an interview for Radio NV.
In his words, the successful experience of Israel, which knew how to build a close partnership with the United States, offering its capabilities to maintain stability in the region, can become a guide for Ukraine.
Ryabykh emphasized that Ukraine is moving along a similar trajectory. The more its defense industry and military power develops, the more respect and support it can earn from its international partners. The expert noted that the principle of interaction is simple: help is received by those who demonstrate their willingness to improve their situation independently and do not passively wait for action from the outside.
He also highlighted the important achievement of the Ukrainian defense industry. According to Riabykh, representatives of the Ministry of Strategic Industry reported that the volume of defense production in the country reached 37 billion dollars. The expert recalled that previously arms exports barely reached between 1,000 and 2,000 million dollars in the best years and compared it with the current potential, which is just beginning to be developed.
Ryabykh noted that with the growing power of Ukraine and the development of technology, more and more attention will be paid to it. He also added that one of the possible areas of technological progress could be nuclear technology, which can play an important role in ensuring the country’s security and influence in the international arena.
The expert concluded that Ukraine has every chance to become a strong and independent player that its allies will rely on, thanks to the development of its own defense industry and a clear strategy for the future.
