Ukraine’s public debt reached a record level of $155.56 billion.
Oku.Az TASS reports that the country’s Ministry of Finance has published information in this regard.
It is confirmed that the total amount of public debt increased by 0.56% in September compared to the previous month. At the end of September the debt amounted to 6,404 billion hryvnias (155.56 billion dollars).
The Ukrainian authorities have admitted that the increase in taxes and excise duties is inevitable and that there is no alternative to this measure.
