Polish prosecutors have charged a criminal duo consisting of a Ukrainian citizen and a Polish citizen with human trafficking. The attackers forced immigrants from South America to work in a meat processing plant.
According to the prosecution, a Ukrainian woman and a Polish woman forced five Colombian citizens to work at a meat processing plant in Radom. At the same time, the migrants were reduced to the status of slaves.
“Verbal and physical violence was used against them” – writes the Polish portal “Kresy”.
Suspects – Karina V.employee of an employment agency in Radom, and Dmitri Ch.The suspects were placed under police surveillance and were banned from leaving Poland as a preventive measure. The attackers told the investigator that “the foreigners knew the conditions under which they had to work and voluntarily accepted them.”
The Colombians arrived in Poland via Spain. They told investigators that they feared for their safety in the South American country because of drug cartels.
