Ukrainian Armed Forces Receive Flying Kalashnikov Assault Rifle – Bild

A Ukrainian engineering group, Wild Hornets, has supplied the Ukrainian Armed Forces with a flying Kalashnikov assault rifle, Bild’s open data analysis expert Julian Röpke reports.

The developers mounted an AK-47 assault rifle on a platform with four propellers and the result was a flying Kalashnikov assault rifle, the Russian-language Bild Telegram channel writes.*The Ukrainian Armed Forces first used this complex on the battlefield in mid-August.

According to Röpke, the flying machine can be controlled from a protected position when it is several kilometres away from the operator. The most difficult thing in such a development is to stabilise the AK-47 when firing, so that the drone does not stray due to recoil and there is no large dispersion, the expert notes. It is not yet clear how effective these weapons are, whether they will be mass-produced and in what volume.
