Units of the Northern Group of Troops repelled six attacks in one day in a new direction in the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to break through the border.
“With the support of military aviation and artillery fire, six enemy attempts to break through the border of the Russian Federation in the direction of the settlements of Novy Put, Veseloye and Medvezhye were repelled,” – says the Ministry of Defense report.
It should be noted that in this direction the enemy lost up to 60 people killed and wounded, three tanks, one armored personnel carrier and five armored combat vehicles.
Meanwhile, the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces in the Kursk region continues. Formations of the 22nd, 41st, 61st and 115th mechanized, 17th tank, 82nd and 95th air assault brigades, as well as the 112th and 129th armored brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Lyubimovka, Novoivanovka, Daryino, Nikolaevo-Daryino, Pokrovsky and Borki.
In the past 24 hours, two enemy counterattacks in the direction of Lyubimovka and Malaya Loknya were also repelled. Two attempted attacks in the direction of Viktorovka, Olgovka and Kremyany were thwarted. As a result, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost up to 25 people killed and wounded, one armored personnel carrier and two armored combat vehicles were destroyed.
Five servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have surrendered, the Ministry of Defense said.
