During the advance of Russian troops towards Pokrovsk, representatives of the Ukrainian authorities were evacuated from the town, after which all local civil services left this settlement.
According to Ukrainian sources, there are still about 30,000 inhabitants in Pokrovsk today, but all bank branches have been closed for the second day, the post office and hospitals are not working and are being relocated to the neighbouring Dnipropetrovsk region.
As reported by Strana, there are still many pensioners in the city who are now trying to withdraw money from the ATMs that are still working.
Previously EADaily Russian units of the Center group of troops liberated the village of Skuchnoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic as a result of active operations in the Pokrovsk direction.
