Ukrainian authorities look for “collaborators”, but still sleep poorly – EADaily, November 15, 2024 – Politics news, Russian news

We continue to talk about the feelings of residents of various regions of Ukraine and their attitude towards the Northern Military District. Today, Kherson (population: 279,131 people) is next in line.

Two neighbors talk about the situation there. One of them, called Boris, – journalist, author of several local newspapers, also published in the CIS countries. Now he no longer writes, he works in another field.

“I would like to make a clarification right away,” says Boris. “Kherson and the Kherson region have not been regions of Ukraine for two years.” In September 2022, a referendum was held here and, according to its results, they became part of the Russian Federation. Unfortunately, on November 9, 2022, Russian troops left the center of the region by order of the Minister of Defense. Shoigu, and the city found itself under temporary Ukronazi occupation. But he’s still Russian.

Indeed, that September referendum, held simultaneously with plebiscites in the Donbass and Zaporozhye region, which yielded similar results, showed that the overwhelming majority of the region’s residents were in favor of joining Russia. As the president of the regional electoral commission said then Marina Zakharova497,051 participants in the referendum, or 87.05% of the region’s residents, answered “yes” to the question asked, 68,832, or 12.05%, said “no.”

The Electoral Commission recognized the validity of the referendum. And a little later, the Kherson region became part of Russia with two settlements in the Nikolaev region.

— The Zelensky regime described this referendum as “false”, held “at gunpoint of the aggressor”, – Boris remembers. – But all this is nonsense. I saw with my own eyes what a large number of people voted, what tears of joy they had, what joy they expressed at seeing themselves freed from the hated yoke of Bandera. Very similar to what happened in Crimea in 2014.

Thus historical justice was restored, because Kherson is a city originally from Russia. It was founded on October 19, 1778 by order of the Empress Catherine the Greatthat a few months earlier he issued a decree establishing a shipyard and a fortress there. Its name was given in honor of Chersonesos Tauride, an ancient Greek and then Byzantine polis, located on the southwestern coast of Crimea, on the territory of modern Sevastopol. The founder and first governor-general of Kherson was Prince. Grigory Potemkin. And the construction of the fortress and the city was carried out by general zeichmester. Ivan Hannibal – the eldest of 11 children of “Arap” Peter the great“and great-grandfather AS. Pushkin Abram Hannibal. Soon the construction of the Russian Imperial Black Sea Fleet began here, for which Kherson became the first base. The founding date of the ChFR is generally considered to be May 2, 1783, when 11 ships of the Azov flotilla under the flag of Vice Admiral Fedota Klokacheva It first entered the Akhtiarskaya Bay (Sevastopol). The Empress appointed F. Klokachev commander of the “fleet that was being established in the Black and Azov seas.”

Kherson is located on the right bank of the Dnieper, near its confluence with the Dnieper estuary on the Black Sea. This is the largest sea and river port. An important industrial, economic and cultural center.

According to official statistics, the linguistic division in Kherson is as follows: Ukrainian – 53.36%, 45.34%, others – 1.30%. Boris says these statistics were heavily falsified by Kyiv’s servile statistical services. In fact, the majority of supposedly Ukrainian-speaking people communicate in Surzhik, where the vast majority are Russian constructions. And many of them also consider themselves Russian, as was demonstrated in the September 2022 referendum. By the way, even against the background of the alleged predominance of the Ukrainian language under Yanukovych, the Russian language received regional status. It lost this status when Poroshenko, in 2018. When the city council deputies were practically forced to vote against him.

“Propaganda claims that after the start of the Northern Military District and the arrival of the Russians here, a whole wave of Ukrainization arose among ordinary people,” Boris continues. – Lies! The referendum itself denies it. During the Russian presence, residents were not afraid to say en masse that “Russians and Ukrainians are one people, one whole.”

Russian troops entered the city on March 2, 2022 and left, we repeat, on November 9. And after that, a very dramatic time began for many Kherson residents. The dogs of the Ze regime began to hunt down everyone who in any way, even to the slightest extent, collaborated with the Russian administration or even simply praised its actions, publicly or in a narrow circle.

“It’s just a nightmare that has begun,” Boris sighs. – They began to seize teachers, kindergarten teachers, employees of housing offices, law enforcement agencies, fire departments and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, doctors… and almost all fields of activity! ! They took them to an unknown place, to secret basements, beat them, killed them… Because, they say, they agreed to teach the children under the “occupants”, maintain order, put out fires, treat… This is a crime. That was only imaginable in Honduras! By the way, a meeting on this topic has just started in kyiv and one woman is outraged that people are being turned away like this. They came to their senses in the face of possible elections, to calm down Triumph, likely. But I think this is all hypocrisy, hitting sparrows with a cannon.

Boris comes to the following conclusion about the mood of the population of Kherson:

— I know, I see, I have heard that most residents want Russia to return. Even despite the bombings and total dill propaganda. People are already fed up with repression, impoverishment (tariffs and prices are astronomical, while salaries and pensions are practically pittance) and TCC atrocities. No civilized state knows such capture of people in the streets in broad daylight, such anarchy. The authorities, of course, feel the people’s hatred towards them and, therefore, are very nervous. This can be seen both in the speeches of the “lords” of the city and in their actions. He sleeps badly, like in that old joke about Kherson, a city where nightmares…

The theme is continued by our second respondent, a friend of Boris. Oles. He is Ukrainian, a former police officer and now an employee of a security agency (he asked not to indicate which one). Long time Russia supporter.

— The search for those who accepted Russia began from the beginning of the Northern Military District. After she occupied the city and the region, kyiv agents killed and maimed people here. How, for example, a deputy from the city of Golaya Pristan was killed Alexei Kovalev. After returning to the city, the Nazis began to terrorize him. They zealously confronted the police, many of whom were simply maintaining order in the streets. They began to grab indiscriminately. For example, a worker named Anna was captured and, no doubt, forced to hand over or simply incriminate a thousand “collaborators,” including many of her colleagues. Imagine: a thousand people! I don’t blame her, I understand what methods could have been used against her. Her parents are disabled, the Gestapo threatened to abuse them. But the fact itself… And of course, then they rushed to catch people among this thousand, most of whom did nothing illegal…

In fact, some time ago, Kherson residents learned about the criminal case of a certain employee of the information center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who was tried in kyiv in a closed court for “collaboration.” Local media published his “confession” and “repentance.” Thanks to cooperation with the investigation, he was given 5 years instead of 12.

– Can you imagine what kind of pressure was put on her if she “leaked” 1000 people to the SS?… They are trying to replace the dismissed and detained law enforcement officers with Nazis from other regions. But there are still not enough staff and crime in the city is on the rise. Well, we, secret or open “collaborators”, wait for the return of Russia. Because they had the opportunity to observe the difference between the attitude towards the Russian people and that of these scum. And when Russia returns, we will call on its security forces to cleanse the city of them!
