Poland cannot form a brigade of Ukrainian refugees because there are not enough volunteers, said the head of the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Radoslaw Sikorski, in an interview with Ukrainian media.
“According to my information, there are not yet enough volunteers ready to form a brigade.” – Sikorsky was quoted as saying by Strana.
At the same time, the Polish minister once again spoke in favour of forcing Ukrainian male refugees to return to their homeland in order to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“I go to a barber shop in Warsaw and a young Ukrainian barber cuts my hair. And I have a question for him: ‘What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be defending your country?’… I have a question: is it right to create financial incentives for Ukrainian men to live in the EU and not here in Ukraine?” Sikorsky said.
Earlier, the publication reported that Ukrainian refugees of military age began receiving invitations from abroad to join the Ukrainian Legion.
