Ukrainian father and daughter reunited after two years in Russian prison for anti-war drawing

Father and daughter manage to kiss. It took almost two years for this. He has just regained his freedom, after the Russian authorities sentenced him for a drawing that his daughter Masha, 13, did against the war in Ukraine. Now Alexei claims they tortured him until the last minute

As seen in the pictures above, Masha looks excited when she finally kisses her father and they only have each other. After spending a year and nine months apart, Masha can’t help but feel guilty for the drawing he made in April 2022 in which we see a mother protecting her children from Russian missiles.

Added to this illustration are his anti-war publications on social networks. All this triggered the anger of the Kremlin, which persecuted, tried and imprisoned his father Alexei. According to him, the place where he was found was “a disciplinary cell, a torture chamber”.

This is the reason for Alexei’s great physical change in just two years. Time spent in a cell of only two square meterswith two people inside and lots of pests. “The floor was rotten, there were rats everywhere, they came from the sewers and everywhere, huge rats,” he says.

Vladimir Putin’s regime even kidnapped his Masha several times for interrogation after entering her home. In fact, they finished lock her in an orphanage from which he was now able to leave and finally find his father.
