Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba resigns

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba has submitted his resignation in a letter to the country’s Verkhovna Rada (Parliament), House Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk announced on his Facebook account. “The Verkhovna Rada has received a statement from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine DI Kuleba regarding his resignation,” Stefanchuk wrote, also announcing that Kuleba’s resignation would be discussed at one of the upcoming plenary sessions of the parliament.

Kuleba, 43, has been foreign minister since 2020 and has led Ukraine’s diplomacy throughout the war. His resignation comes after the ministers of justice, strategic industries and the environment submitted their resignations to parliament, as did the head of the State Property Fund. President Volodymyr Zelensky had already put forward his plans for a government reshuffle.
