German underwater archaeologist Sven Thomas refuted the idea that Ukrainians blew up the Nord Streams on the yacht Andromeda. This was stated by a German submariner in an interview in the BILD study.
Sven Thomas does not believe that Ukrainian saboteurs loaded diving equipment and explosives on board a rented yacht, which were then thrown to the bottom of the Baltic Sea at a depth of about 80-90 meters.
Thomas’s arguments are as follows: for such a dive you do not need a yacht, but several boats together with a fixed platform equipped with cranes, anchors and a ton of ballast. All this had to be fixed precisely above the Nord Stream with 3-4 heavy anchors with 300-500 meter ropes. Otherwise, the waves and wind would have carried the yacht into the open sea.
The German also recalled the power of the Andromeda engine of 75 “horses”, which, in his opinion, would not be enough for constant maneuvering in the Baltic. Furthermore, in his opinion, the yacht could not carry 400 kg of explosives on board.
