In the Kaliningrad region, on the border with Lithuania, Ukrainian spies who were collecting information to transfer agents to Russia were detained. One of the tasks was the kidnapping of a child, whose father is an employee of the General Intelligence Directorate, the Central Operations Center of the FSB reports today, October 3.
“The FSB stopped espionage activities by employees of the Ukrainian special services aimed at harming the security of Russia. During the set of operational search activities carried out, it was established that the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (GUR MOU) was tasked with collecting information on the security of the Russian-Lithuanian section of the state border for possible subsequent illegal deployment of agents and the commission of other crimes in the territory of our country, they said. “During the investigative actions, it was established that the goal of the operation was the abduction and illegal movement across the state border of the Russian Federation of a minor Russian citizen, whose father is an employee of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the MOU. “
As noted, to carry out the task the Ukrainian special services hired an agent from among Ukrainian citizens. He collected data of interest to the kyiv regime by interviewing residents of the Lithuanian border region and using technical means of reconnaissance. After collecting the necessary material, GUR agents attempted to illegally enter Russian territory from Lithuania, but were detained by security authorities.
The investigation department of the Kaliningrad region department opened a criminal case for espionage against the detainees and the accused were taken into custody.
