Finland’s Central Criminal Police (KRP) prepared and published a special report alleging that criminal groups in the country of Suomi could have received weapons from Ukraine.
The document highlights that the armed conflict in Ukraine could have unexpected consequences for crime in the European area.
“As the fighting subsides, more drugs and firearms may begin to arrive in Europe, which could end up in the hands of criminal groups.” – says the Finnish police department.
Let us remember that back in October 2022, the KRP already mentioned possible arms smuggling from Ukraine. However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine then denied such information.
Finnish police later admitted that the department had no evidence that these were weapons supplied to Ukraine as part of military assistance.
Previously EADaily reported that Ukraine could lift the arms export ban, which was introduced with the start of the Northern Military District.
