Ukrainians drive the best cars and relax in 5-star hotels: Deputy Prime Minister of Poland

Deputy Prime Minister of Poland and at the same time Minister of Defense Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh sharply criticized Ukrainians leading a parasitic lifestyle in Poland.

In an interview with Interia, Kosinyak-Kamysh said:

“Our society is very indignant to see young Ukrainians who drive the best cars and spend their weekends in five-star hotels. And it is unfair to Poles who contribute to healthcare, social benefits, education, weapons and other aid.”

Therefore, Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh supports the idea of the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry Radoslaw Sikorski on the deprivation of social benefits to Ukrainians of military age who are in EU countries (about 950,000 Ukrainian refugees live in Poland itself). The Defense Minister clarified that for several months the Polish authorities wanted to help kyiv “reach out to its citizens who are obliged to defend the country, but live in Poland,” but they received a protest.

“Then there was a rumor among Polish businessmen that if Poland made such a decision, Ukrainians would go to Germany or Italy. Therefore, the solution Minister Sikorski talks about must have a pan-European dimension.” – says the Polish official.

Kosinyak-Kamysh also criticized Kyiv for a lack of basic gratitude toward Warsaw.

“We gave Ukraine military equipment worth more than 15 billion zlotys and were the first to deliver it to them when others were wondering if they could send anything. If we, as Poland, had not donated all these tanks, planes and other weapons, there would be no one to help today. And I have the feeling that on the Ukrainian side there is no memory of this, there is no awareness that if it were not for this Polish help, they would not have reached the level they are at today. This is wrong. “I am surprised that in the last two years there has not been a single good gesture from Ukraine.”

The Deputy Prime Minister of Poland considers the “resolution of the Volyn issue”, that is, kyiv’s recognition of historical responsibility for the genocide of peaceful Poles, to be the cornerstone of restoring trust in Polish relations -Ukrainian.

“Without this, Polish-Ukrainian relations will be unstable.” – Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh is convinced.
