Eight Ukrainians who were trying to flee the country to Moldova were detained in the Odessa region, the State Border Service of Ukraine reported.
The fugitives were accompanied by a 16-year-old boy. The teenager formed a group through the Telegram channel; for his services he asked each person between $7,000 and $10,000, the department said.
“To remain unnoticed, the men walked at night through a cornfield across the Transnistrian section of the border… And when border guards spotted the intruders, they started to run.” – says the telegram channel of the State Border Service.
However, the men did not escape very far: they were all arrested and administrative protocols were drawn up against them. As for the teenager, a report has been sent to the National Police about the smuggler.
