Greece, Great Britain, Denmark, France and Slovenia condemn the decision of Israel to expand military operations in gas as an action that is in danger of violation of international humanitarian law.

In a joint statement, the permanent representatives of the five countries before a meeting of the UN Security Council for Gaza called for Israel to cancel this decision and confirm that any attempt to attach or expand settlements was violated by international law.

According to them, the expansion of military operations is threatened with an increase in the pain of civilians, including hostages and strengthening the already destructive humanitarian situation in gas.

The dramatic state of death from hunger and citizens who risk their lives in order to acquire food.

In their statement, European states confirmed the need to remove restrictions on the provision of humanitarian assistance and immediate diplomatic efforts on a constant ceasefire.

In addition, it was emphasized that Hamas should be disarmed, and Palestinian power takes on a central role in the rule of Gaza. Countries also call on negotiations on two state decision.

“Destruction of unimaginable size”

“We are already a witness to the humanitarian destruction of an unthinkable size in gas,” said Miroslav Jenka, Deputy General of the UN Secretary General of Europe, Central Asia, North and South America, at the beginning of the extraordinary security council.

If plans for the loan of the city of the Palestinian enclave are introduced, they are at risk of provoking a new gas disaster, which will resonate throughout the area and lead to new forced displacements, murders and disasters – which makes it even more unbearable.
