A patrol of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) was attacked in the south of the country.
Oku.Az informs that this was reported in account “X” of UNIFIL.
“Yesterday afternoon, while UNIFIL, made up of French and Finnish peacekeepers, was serving in the village of Bedias, a group of people tried to prevent the free movement of the blue helmets. Shots were fired. It is believed that some 40 shots were fired by members of illegal groups,” the report says.
It should be noted that although bullet marks were found on some patrol cars, the peacekeepers were not injured. They immediately reported the incident to the Lebanese army.
