The woman, who is now 83 years old, has resided in the nursing home for a few years. Here, she told the workers: “My biggest dream is to wear a wedding dress.” The management of the nursing home informed the Adana Department of Social and Family Services. The administration immediately purchased a wedding dress for Mrs. Sumbul with the help of philanthropists, and a person named Mustafa Kapan booked his wedding hall for this ceremony free of charge.
First, they took Sumbul Topbaş to the hairdresser, decorated her hair and put makeup on her. Then she arrived at the wedding palace in a wedding dress. At the ceremony attended by nursing home residents and Mrs. Sumbul’s relatives, the bride entered with a trumpet and performed her first dance with Mustafa Gökboğa, head of the Adana Department of Social and Family Services.
The 83-year-old bride told reporters that she was very happy. “My childhood love was one-sided. I never expressed my feelings to him. Then I didn’t marry anyone. Today my dreams have come true, I am very happy. I thank everyone who made my dreams come true. I would recommend everyone to join get married,” he said.
