The newly elected president of the United States, Donald Trump, announced that he will appoint Susan Wiles as White House chief of staff.
Oku.Az“The Washington Post” writes about this.
The newspaper notes that Wiles, 67, will be the first woman in US history to hold this position.
Susan Wiles played a key role in Trump’s victory in the 2024 election and ran his campaign. He was also a member of Trump’s presidential campaign team in 2016 and 2020. In his statement, Trump praised Wiles’ contribution, noting that he helped deliver “one of the greatest political victories in American history.”
Wiles’ appointment is Trump’s first major decision since he won the Nov. 5 election with at least 277 electoral votes (270 are needed to win). Trump’s transition team is currently considering candidates for other positions in the incoming administration.
It should be noted that the term of the current head of state, Joe Biden, will end on January 20, 2025, and the inauguration of Donald Trump, who will return to the White House after a four-year hiatus, will be celebrated on that day.
