“The climate transition is very important because these are the tools we must provide to change the energy complex, transition to renewable energy and introduce new methods of consumption and production.”

This Oku.AzDeputy Director-General of Social Sciences and Humanities of UNESCO, who attended the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in Baku Gabriela Ramos saying.

He added that they expect a good result in terms of financing:

“But remember that by February next year, countries will have to submit Nationally Determined Contributions, so I hope that countries will deliver the entire financial package and then what is required to complete the commitments.”

The UN official also referred to the organization of the COP29 event:

“Azerbaijan has long been famous in the international world for its generosity and skillful organization of major events. I thank Azerbaijan for its hospitality.”
