Unions demand a salary increase for staff of the General Administration of the Junta de Andalucía

Unions CSIF, SAF, ISA, UGT and CCOO They called a rally in all provincial capitals on October 22 to demand a improvement of the remuneration of the staff of the General Administration of the Junta de Andalucía and denounce “the abusive deletions” that these professionals accumulate.

They are qualified as untenable the situation since they recall that between 2010 and 2024, the loss of purchasing power of civil servants of the General Administration of the Council exceeds 16%even counting all the salary increases from the budgets of recent years.

The organizing unions have denounced the fact that, to date, auxiliary civil servants They earn “minimum wage” and the rest of the civil servants of all categories do it “below average” compared to other autonomous communities and other administrations, which, according to them, means that the staff of the Andalusian Administration currently has “the lowest salaries in Spain in all salary concepts.”

They add that the last time that civil servants were subject to a review of their specific supplements was in 2002, through Decree 280/2002, and they therefore regret that since 22 years ago there has been no change and no salary increase has been agreed for these professionals.

The unions recalled that on September 23 they had asked the Minister of Justice, Local Administration and Civil Service, José Antonio Nieto, who in the budget bill of the Junta de AndaLucy For the year 2025, the budget item necessary to undertake the increase in specific supplements for civil servants will be included.

In this regard, they assure that to date they have not yet received a response from Nieto to said request, to which are added “the constant refusals for this issue to be debated or negotiated in sectoral tables in recent years, while in all cases other groups of officials were followed and saw their earnings losses were mitigated.

In the opinion of the CSIF, the SAF, the ISA, the UGT and the CCOO, this situation “condemns those responsible to absolute ostracism and is provoked by themselves”. senior civil servants who increased their salaries “up to two times.”

In this sense, the trade union organizations recalled that last December the Directing Council had approved a salary increase of 18.8% in the case of President Juan Manuel Moreno, and 15% for senior civil servants; Likewise, last August, an update of 1.79% of the remuneration of the president and other senior officials of the Andalusian Executive was published due to the increase in the CPI.
