The US State Department has advised American citizens to leave Lebanon amid the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.

“Due to the unpredictable nature of the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel and the recent explosions in Lebanon, including Beirut, the U.S. Embassy urges its citizens to leave Lebanon while commercial flights continue,” the U.S. State Department said in a statement.
The State Department has warned that if the security situation worsens, it may not be possible to leave the country on commercial flights.
The document states that “the U.S. Embassy will not be able to support U.S. citizens who choose to remain in Lebanon.”
